Help 4 Hounds Rescue

We are a not-for-profit organisation and our sole aim is to help dogs in their time of need. All of our dogs are placed in fully vetted foster placements provided by our team of dedicated volunteers.

Once with us, our dogs receive full vet checks and any necessary treatment is arranged as a priority. We then work with the dogs to understand any behavioural work that is needed and to get to know the dog’s character. Once they are ready, we then place the dogs up for adoption with a full and honest review of the dog’s character, their needs, and any ongoing vet treatment the dog may need. In some cases we are unable to place our dogs up for adoption, therefore they stay with us in a long-term foster placement to ensure they live a full and happy life.

When a dog is ready for adoption, we ask for applications through our website and our Facebook page – sorry to say we do not hold a waiting list. However, you can apply to be pre-approved for adoption so that we can move as quickly as possible if you submit an enquiry about a particular dog. All of our adopted dogs come with 5 weeks of free insurance, and adoptive dog parents enter into a contract with Help 4 Hounds that states they must return the dog to us as all our come with lifetime Rescue backup.

Whilst many dogs that we support have sadly been abandoned, abused or neglected; we also work with owners who need to rehome their dogs for various reasons. There is no judgement here, we would always rather have an owner contact us when they are struggling than a dog does not have their needs met.
